Maths Interventions

1-1 tuition: One to one tuition is given to individual children in Years 5 and 6 by a qualified teacher who works with the class teacher to identify how children can be moved on in their Mathematics work.

First Class @ number: Our Teaching Assistants in KS1 and KS2 provide this intervention to small groups of children. The work is based on a Post Office and practices basic maths skills, identifies gaps and provides children with tools to help them with their Maths work

Success @ Arithmetic: Our KS2 Teaching Assistants are trained to deliver this intervention to children in Years 5 and 6 to boost confidence in Maths by identifying gaps in knowledge and skills when using addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.

Numbers Count: This intervention is provided by a specially trained teacher to individual  children in Year 2 who need extra support in Maths.

All these interventions have been proven to accelerate progress in Maths for all the children who participate in these group and individual programmes.
