Staff at our school are using Purple Mash to set work, blog and encourage children to keep in contact. To help parents support their children with Purple Mash we have uploaded some helpful guides here.

As well as the curriculum-based websites that St James’ have provided, there are many external websites which some of our children have already been using and enjoying.

BBC Bitesize have created fun lessons for each Key Stage that children can get involved in:

Key Stage One (Years 1 and 2)

Key Stage Two (Years 3, 4, 5 and 6)

Oak National Academy

This is a new collection of high-quality lessons and online resources. Backed by the Government, it has been created in response to the coronavirus lockdown. The online classroom offers free access to great teachers, delivering video lessons, quizzes and worksheets. It covers a range of subjects. All of the lessons are ordered so your child can learn along a clear plan. They will provide new lessons and resources each week.

Each class teacher will  suggest if and how this online classroom is used, alongside any existing work we have set at St James’.

Oak National Academy will fit alongside other resources to offer a structure for the day for children until schools fully reopen.

On the following pages, there are other links relevant to different curriculum areas.
