Introducing our Governors 4

” My name is Deborah Roberts and I have recently been appointed as the new Local Authority Governor for St James’ Catholic Primary School. I have worked within Governor Services (TMBC) for over 5 years and my main area of work is the coordination of governor and teaching staff training. Previous roles include many community projects across Tameside with The Hub including volunteering for the charity Banardos. In 2011 I was awarded a 2.1 BSc Honours degree in Health and Community Studies. Within my role I will always strive to do the best for the pupils of St James’ by challenging and supporting the school. I am also a parent of children at St James’ and therefore have grown to care for and build strong relationships with many pupils and staff here.”   Deborah Roberts, LA Governor

My name is Kerry Higginson and I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to join the team of governors here at St James Primary School. As an ex pupil and mother to 3 children who attend (ed) the school, I have experienced first hand the warm sense of community and support that the school offers and am grateful that  I have now been given the chance to give something back and help make a difference.
As a Parent governor I am here to represent you and will be available to help in anyway needed !
I am looking forward to working alongside the other governors of St James to help raise standards hopefully for many years to come. Kerry Higginson, Parent Governor
