We’ve made a great start to our Spring term in Maths, using bar models, investigating decimals and percentages and exploring angles.

During our English lessons we have been looking at biographies of famous people and writing our versions of them.

Year 5 have been taking part in their usual Spring Forest School sessions. Our theme is Native Americans. We have enjoyed making totem poles and dream catchers.

World Book Day was a success, with Class 5 coming as their favourite jungle-themes book characters.  There were quizzes and activities in houses in the hall with everyone taking part.

We have started our history topic on the Tudors and look forward to learning more about Henry VIII and his six wives.

Home Learning

Each child has been given a pack to work on at home (this should last about two weeks). All other work will be set online using Purple Mash.

We now have our own class blog, where children can add comments or ask for help.  Keep checking the 2Do folder for extra tasks over the next few weeks.

Spellings will be uploaded to Spelling Shed and children should continue to practise their times tables on TTRockstars.
